Appliance Removal
There’s no doubt that appliances have hugely improved our quality of life. The problem is that when we’re done with them they continue to take up a lot of space and older appliances are often left behind when one occupier makes way for another. So don’t let those unwanted appliances edge you out of your own kitchen or utility room. Instead count on us to do the hard work of safely removing them and hauling them away where they will be disposed of in a responsible and environmentally friendly way. From air conditioners to fridge freezers, from washing machines to water heaters we can remove them without damage and magic them away for you. Give us a call today to arrange for your problem appliances to vanish.
Dishwashers, Trash Compactors Things like dishwashers and trash compactors are relatively straightforward to dispose of but not easy to dislodge from their location in your kitchen or utility room. Ensuring they are safely unplumbed and disconnected is part of our job as is all the heavy lifting of getting those large and awkwardly shaped machines out of tight spaces and safely onto our truck. Stoves, Ovens, Microwaves Older cooking appliances are usually metal and wiring or piping, depending on what fuel they use. We can ensure that they are safely disconnected before we haul them away for you. More modern appliances, including microwaves and many ovens may include circuitry and computer chips which often means there are precious metals involved which should be recovered for recycling. Let us take care of all of that for you. Washing Machines Washing machines are not considered hazardous waste and so are relatively straightforward to remove apart from one little detail. Typically older washing machines have a solid block of concrete built into them to try and combat the vibrations from the spin cycle and that makes them awkward cusses to get out of the kitchen. We bring the muscle to this party so you don’t have to risk pulled backs and strained muscles to get them out. Refrigerant Removal One of the problems of disposing of appliances is the safe removal of the refrigerant fluids. This is such an issue that refrigerant removal documentation must be shown at refuse dumps before they can and will accept the appliance. That means that the refrigerant must be safely removed from all fridges, freezers, and auto air con units and the correct documentation provided before the appliance can be disposed of. Correct removal of the refrigerant requires the use of Environmental Protection Agency approved equipment. The refrigerant can be reclaimed, cleaned, and reused but owing to its hazardous nature that is a job strictly reserved for EPA-certified reclaimers. We know exactly where and how to get all of that done for you so we would strongly recommend that you call us if you have older appliances that need to be disposed of because just driving them to the dump yourself is likely to end with you and the appliance being firmly turned away. |
